BATHING

JAPANESE ONSEN
- MINERAL BATH SALTS -
During the Edo
period (about 400 years ago) the custom of bathing in hot springs
- onsen - was adopted by the hard working farmers. It
was the most pleasant and economical way they could relax from
the rigors of their daily lives. Hot spring bathing remains an
extremely popular custom for people from all walks of life, and
the proven restorative effects of the springs ensure that this
will continue.
Natural hot spring
baths are found all over Japan. They are widely hailed as being
healthful and useful for a number of common ailments because
of the minerals contained in the volcanic waters which bubble
underground. This pleasurable experience is not always available
at home, so onsen powders are used containing similar minerals
found in the natural onsen water.
A hot bath using
the onsen powders full of mineral salts is how Japanese
people look forward to unwinding at the end of the day. Add a
sachet of the mineral powder to your bath, and relax your body
while the mineral salts do their work to ease your tired muscles.
Enjoy light fragrances to soothe your mind. Recommended for after
sports, muscle injury, tiredness, aches and pains, neuralgia,
boils, spots and pimples, rheumatism, nervous tension, joint
problems.
